Wildcat is thrilled to announce a year-long sequence of speech and debate enrichment opportunities for students in grades 5–8. Across multiple sessions (6–8 sessions, two times per week), students will explore a variety of formats—speech, Lincoln-Douglas debate, spontaneous argumentation, impromptu speaking, Model UN, and even events for creative writers and poets. This enrichment is about building skills that matter for life: critical thinking, communication, confidence, research, writing, active listening, and more. Students will prepare for and compete in tournaments through the Southern California Junior Forensics League, both in-person and online. Sessions will run two days per week, with opportunities tailored to each tournament cycle. Spots are limited and expected to fill quickly—don’t miss this exciting new program!
