OUR PROGRAMS
AROUND THE WORLD
Rising (24-25 School Year) Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grade
Journey through the world exploring song, dance, art, cuisine, language and more. Campers practice school routines, hold important classroom responsibilities, and collaborate through engaging and hands-on activities and projects, all the while enhancing their understanding of the world around them. Week after week, campers grab their passports and travel to a different part of the globe. Each day is framed by a unique question for campers to explore.
- How do people around the world celebrate and express their cultures?
- How do people communicate and share their stories?
- How do children play and have fun in various cultures?
- How does the environment influence the way people live in different countries?
- What makes each region special and unique?
Campers will explore these questions through a multi-disciplinary lens, combining familiar subjects to help them unpack their own answers to these exciting questions. Our curriculum is loosely framed by California State Standards for Pre-K through 2nd grade along with the Learning for Justice Standards standards around identity, diversity, justice and action. The classroom environment is playful, student-centered, and highly engaging. Grab your passports and travel with us all summer!
Pricing:
- Full Day: $425 (8:30am-3:00pm)
- Extended Day: $100 (3:00-5:00pm)
Extended Day: Summer with Westerly offers extended care hours after our main programming from 3:00-5:00 pm. Extended hours are an additional flat rate of $100 or by drop in billing of $30/day. Campers are supervised with a variety of options of indoor and outdoor activities including board games, coloring pages, puzzles, playground, books, and building materials.
Please note:
- Children in Pre-K must be 4 years old by July 1, 2024 to enter summer camp.
- While we strategically build a schedule that offers time for rest, we encourage families to ensure their child receives adequate sleep before coming to camp, and for those children still napping, then after camp would be a great time to settle down after an exciting day of exploration.
DISCOVERY
Rising (24-25 School Year) 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Grade

Campers are welcome to participate in both morning and afternoon sessions or pick and choose what works best for your family. We encourage students to participate in both workshops as this provides a healthy balance of learning in both the arts and sciences.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Yes, all campers are required to bring a light snack for the children to enjoy around mid-morning. We ask that families refrain from packing any nuts or nut based products in their child's snack. Snacks are provided by the camp for students staying in after care, and families are also welcome to pack an extra snack for after-care.
What about lunch?
Full-day campers have a lunch and all campers have a recess period. Full-day campers are required to bring a packed lunch each day. We ask that families refrain from packing any nuts or nut-based products.
Can my child drop-in for just a day or two?
We work hard to build a curriculum that is meaningful and impactful with each day connecting to the next. We do not accept drop in campers, and are unable to prorate for any missed days of camp.
Who are the teachers?
Summer with Westerly is run by a combination of Westerly School administration, the after school team, current faculty, and we source additional teachers who match our educational philosophy and camp needs.
All faculty/staff participate in a thorough background check and are required to be First Aid/CPR certified.
How will I know what is going on in my child's camp experience?
Summer with Westerly sends out a weekly newsletter that recaps the week, accompanied by photos of our campers hard at work. Additionally, you can follow our Westerly Instagram @westerlywildcats to catch some of our camp stories.
